Winter Waves and Water Lilies

King Kalakaua Park in downtown Hilo has a koi pond and wonderful water lilies. A look back at last year’s loti gives me new inspiration and brings me back to Hilo shorelines.

Right between the Post Office and the East Hawaii Center, this royal pond is a refreshing spot for bees, ducks, and spirits of the past.

Now it’s a short walk down to the Ocean

Let’s wander  from the King’s watergarden to the open sea

for the sport of kings:  SURFING!
